gBots came out on top of LVP Final Cup 9 following a 2-0 victory over x6tence in the final (16-11 on de_dust2 and 16-8 on de_mirage). Eight teams from all over Spain gathered in Madrid for the offline finals of Liga de Videojuegos Profesional (LVP), which took place at the vast Ifema conference centre as part of the Gamergy festival. With Epsilon a notable absentee, many believed that this tournament would be a two-horse race between gBots and x6tence, despite the fact that both teams attended the event with stand-ins.
gBots, who brought Christian "loWel" Garcia Antoran in following the departure of Hugo "Geck0" Alvarez Pazo, reached the grand final without dropping a single map along the way, whereas x6tence, who fielded Lucas "rEcki" Reckermann as their fifth man, were made to work hard to beat overGame in the semi-finals as the game went to a third map. The opening map of the final was de_dust2, where gBots acquitted themselves really well on the CT side to overturn a 6-9 half-time deficit. The following map was de_mirage, where after a close first half that ended in an 8-7 scoreline, gBots dominated proceedings on the Terrorist side to seal a 16-8 win and pick up their second domestic title in just two wees after taking home the ESL Arena crown last month.
